Looking for Festive Fowl and other Four-legged Creatures? You’ve come to the right place!

Let’s talk turkey (and geese and ducks and beef and pork and lamb)…. We’ve got it all for your festive feast.  Pre-orders required.

TRADITIONAL WHITE, DOUBLE-BREASTED TURKEYS – $5 PER LB

This year John Nyman will be raising our turkeys.   They are free range, outdoor raised birds (no GMO feed, no hormones, no antibiotics etc.) and are expected to come in at roughly 10 to 15 lbs.   We’ll do our best to give you the size you prefer but cannot guarantee it as we don’t know the weights until we get them.  Aavailable for pick up Dec 24.  ONLY 10 LEFT!!

HERITAGE BREED TURKEYS – $8.49 PER LB

We will also have a limited supply of Heritage Breed Turkeys such as  Beltsville White, Spanish Black & Red Bourbon.  These will most likely be in the 10-15 lb range.  A hertitage turkey has less breast meat than the traditional white, double breasted turkey but have an excellent taste and are perfectly suitable for the traditional roast turkey dinner.  These may require some brining and closer cooking attention.  Our Heritage Breed Turkeys  have been raised by Grassroot Organic Farm the good old fashion way – on pasture with GMO-free rations and of course no hormones or antibiotics. These beauties will be available for pick up Dec 22.

GEESE ($7.69 PER LB) AND DUCK ($7.69 PER LB)

These geese and ducks are raised by farmer Paul Stoll without antibiotics or hormones and are fed GMO-free feed along with the grass and worms and bugs and such that they get from their foot loose and fancy free roaming.

  • Geese are expected to range between 15 to 23 lbs (size is uncertain as these geese were raised initially for eating grubs off strawberry plants in June – and they have been well fed!)
  • Peking ducks will be in the 4 to 5 lb range

For those of you who prefer the 4-legged beast for your feast, we have available several meats for the festive season;  all are nice additions to the traditional turkey dinner or tasty substitutes for those of you who many have smaller family gatherings.  And of course, all are pasture raised, with no hormones or antibiotics on small family farms we know and trust – all healthy, happy animals!

    Would this duck breed be good for duck confit?

      Hi Sally, these ducks are female Peking ducks and so, yes, their legs would make terrific confit!!
