The Culinarium Cupboard is pleased to offer delicious classes by a Angelo Bean - Artisan Sausage Maker, Wine Expert and Passionate Cook with Italian flair, at the beautiful Grano Restaurant .

Nothing tastes better than a meal prepared with love and care. And with the right skills a gourmet meal is never farther away than your very own pantry. In our cooking classes we'll show you how to cook through the seasons with ingredients from around the province and techniques from around the world. You’ll be amazed at the multitude of menus you’ll have at your fingertips.

Join our favourite Italian pasta master Angelo Bean for a fun evening of creating your own pasta from scratch. Angelo will show you the old school way of making pasta. Come prepared for hands on work and to have some fun with a rolling pin in this hands-on class. Once the pasta is made we’ll all sit down to a delicious Italian meal using your perfect pasta creations. All classes held at Grano Ristorante will be complemented by Prosecco and stuzzichini, and wine with your dinner!

Stress-free Sauces from Southern Italy

Born and raised in Naples, Italy, Angelo grew up steeped in healthy, simple and wholesome Southern Italian cooking. This evening we will explore the ‎staple of the Mediterranean Diet, " La Cucina Povera" - The olive oil cuisine. You will learn how to make authentic and delicious pasta sauces using simple fresh ingredients and a few pantry staples. This is stress free cooking for any season at it's best. Set aside any fear, as Angelo will teach us some basic techniques and also empower us to improvise based on what ingredients are on hand.

Sensational Sausage

Artisan sausage producer and avid locavore Angelo Bean will show us how to create our own homemade sausage. From fresh meat, grinding and stuffing the casings he'll work with you side by side to create a delicious, artisan sausage. Once the sausages are made we'll cook some up and stuff ourselves over the dinner table on the fruits of your labour. All classes held at Grano Ristorante will be complemented by Prosecco and stuzzichini, and wine with your dinner!

Angelo Bean returns to extend our homemade pasta making abilities. He’ll show us how to created delicious stuffed pastas, lamination and creating flavoured pasta. No pasta making experience is necessary, anyone can join, but this is also a great class for those of you who have taken our Pasta 101 class

Risotto for the Seasons

Good food starts with good ingredients. We’ll teach you to make the perfect risotto using Carnaroli and Vialone Nano organic rice varieties imported from the Italy. We learned the non-stir method directly from Gabriele Ferron and we’ll teach it to you. No longer will you consider risotto a daunting time consuming task. We’ll show you some fabulous flavour combinations to delight your palette throughout the four seasons. All classes held at Grano Ristorante will be complemented by Prosecco and stuzzichini, and wine with your dinner!

Sausage Making Al Fresco

Thurs June 16, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:30pm

Location: Grano Restaurant 2035 Yonge St

Tonight we’re celebrating sausage for the summer season! Artisan sausage producer, avid locavore, and sommelier Angelo Bean, will show you how to create your own artisan sausage the ‘old way’, using fresh meat, grinding by hand and stuffing the casings. He’ll work side by side with you to create the most delicious sausage you’ve ever eaten. Once the sausages are made, we’ll move to the patio and learn to grill your perfect sausages, then enjoy a full meal expertly prepared by Grano’s chefs, with wines to match. A very special event.
